The Bill of No Rights

I've seen this on-line before but for some reason it seems right to post this piece here, now. It has been wrongly attributed to Mitchell Kaye from Georgia but the true origin is from a Libertarian from Mississippi, Mr. Louis Napper.

This "Bill of No Rights" was penned after hearing a speech by, then co-president, Hillary Clinton in 1993. The fact that it has survived on the Internet this long speaks to the timeless sensibility of the words.

"We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters. We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."

H-1b Immigration FRAUD!!!

This is not a regular commentary, sorry I haven't been diligent in providing new material, but this is too important to not pass around.

United States immigration attorneys are being hired, and are working in conjunction with the U.S. State Department, to defraud Americans of job opportunities!!!

I've heard all kinds of this and that about immigration, legal and illegal, H-1b visas and the like. NEVER has the information in this video been made public knowledge. My sincere thanks to the diligent efforts of Eagle Forum for getting this information to the public.

Please watch the following video (less than five minutes). Watch it somewhere that your outrage and anger won't bother others - you will not believe what you see and hear. Then pass the link on - this one is too important to just delete.

Senate Bill 129

On Monday, May 7, 2007 I was made aware of a Health and Human Services committee vote that would take place in the Wisconsin Senate on proposed bill SB 129.

It was suggested to me that I might want to be informed of this pending legislation and contact my State Senator, Carol Roessler, to voice my opinion regarding this legislation.

I contacted the Senator's office at around 10:30am on May 8 - the Executive Session was scheduled for 11:00am.

The following day I received an email response from Senator Roessler's office.

The Seven Blunders of the World

Not being one who reads much (to my own detriment) I was not aware of the "Seven Blunders of the World" until a good friend added them to his email tag line in a message he sent me recently.

After checking Google it seems these seven sayings are credited to Gandhi and, so the Internet research goes, were passed on by Gandhi to his grandson, Arun, mere hours before he was assassinated.

Well, Gandhi is no Jesus but he sure had his moments and after reading and re-reading these Seven Blunders I felt this is something that I could comment on. So, here are the Seven Blunders of the World, ala Hoyt!

It's All About the "Hate"

Poor Ann Coulter has been attacked because of a humorous remark she made - that's right, it was intended to be a joke - at the Conservative Political Action Conference last Friday, March 2. Ms. Coulter's remark about John Edwards was suppose to be a comical slam relating to a comment made by "Grey's Anatomy" star Isaiah Washington, who referred to co-worker T.R. Knight as a "faggot". Later, T.R. came out and admitted he was/is gay.

OK. So what? I did a (very) little research using dictionary.com and looked up two words...

Too many things going on in my home life right now to post new opinions. That's not to say I've run out of things to comment on - in fact, I have begun several commentaries but haven't had the inspiration to complete and post them.

I just finished watching the Packers beat up on the Bears. Didn't expect that, but quite happy none-the-less. Also may have been Brett Favre's last pro football game. We'll see...

Beginning in 2007 I will allow subscribers to reply to my commentary's via this blog site.

There are a few rules that I ask you to abide by:

I will be the only one who starts new posts or threads. Each new post will be titled by the most recent posting to the HoytOpinions.com web site.
Only Subscribers to the HoytOpinions list will be able to post comments under each new thread. Please be sure to include your email in your post so I can verify your subscription. I'll edit out the email address before publishing your comment.
Subscribers comments will be moderated to maintain a level of respect for all opinions expressed here. As Moderator I reserve the right to deny publishing of any comment for any reason. Non-subscriber comments will be rejected 100% of the time.
I'll post more rules as I need to.

With the addition of this new feature anyone will be able to receive alerts to new posts via the RSS feed. You will only need to subscribe to the list if you want to be able to post comments.
